Be yourself

So I read a statement today and it went like this........ To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment!

I like you all know have 6 very different kids!  Today's world is constantly trying to make kids think they need to be one way instead of being their selves!

My oldest is going to be 11.. He is the sweetest boy, but he has some friends try to make him feel bad because he doesn't have this or that.. So he turns around and wants all the stuff his friends have!  But we try and teach our kids that you don't have to have all the fancy. If you have what you need then you are in good shape! What happened to teaching your kids that you have to work for extras and earn them..

We are moving to give our kids a chance to grow up to be them selves... Where cell phones don't even work! We now as you know homeschool our kids!! By the way we are loving it!!!

People have forgotten about letting kids be kids! By letting your kids have that complex of you need to be better than anyone is a really bad thing!!

I have my boys who think they need to keep up with the Jones when really they don't need to prove themselves to anyone! I have for the longest time wanted to move where it is a little bit country and now we are.. The majority of families up in my new neighborhood are homeschooled... I think that home schooled kids have a great attitude and really are very close to their families... Their brothers and sisters and even parents are their best friends.. Family is and always will be the most important thing to us!
